Grand Opening of Jiaxing World Fruit Center

The Jiaxing World Fruit Center opened on January 21, 2016, attracting industry fruit leaders from around the world to witness the important ceremony. The wholesale center is located in the Jiaxing Logistics Park and divided into three functional areas, namely, the global origin trade area (for well-known brand fruit), the e-commerce and supermarket purchasing office area, and the cold-storage area. The facility aims to be the largest wholesale import fruit market in the east of China.

Mr. Fang Zengliang, General Manager of Jiaxing World Fruit Center, told Produce Report that Jiaxing has a great advantage in terms of its location, which covers the Yangtze River Delta region. The ever-growing demand for imported fruit triggered the birth of this market. Multiple famous fruit companies have established their presence in the center, including Golden Wing Mau, Yidu, Yogo, and Kingo, making it an international and full-range distribution center for imported fruit.

An industry leader pointed out that Jiaxing World Fruit Center is adjacent to Jiaxing Fruit Market. The latter is a key distribution center for domestic fruit and has already gathered huge popularity. Focusing on imported fruit, Jiaxing World Fruit Center represents a perfect companion to Jiaxing Fruit Market. Moreover, Jiaxing is at the center of the road transport network in the Yangtze River Delta region, allowing it to comprehensively serve the entire region.

Furthermore, Jiaxing’s location in the northeast of Zhejiang Province, within a hundred kilometers of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing, and Suzhou, places it at the traffic hub of the Yangtze River Delta region and puts it in a prime position for serving the surrounding cities.

The Jiaxing Logistics Park is in the western part of Jiaxing city, covering an area of 265 hectares, and contains various markets, including fruit, grain and oil, meat, vegetables, aquatic products, and processed food.
