SanLucar Launches Flagship Store in Berlin's KaDeWe Department Store

Europe-based fruit marketer SanLucar announced this month the launch of a new high-end fresh fruit retail experience at Berlin’s Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) department store.

The new SanLucar flagship store was launched on December 5 in the KaDeWe delicatessen section, which has been recently renovated. KaDeWe is the second largest department store in Europe, with tens of thousands of visitors every day.

“All of SanLucar’s wide range of products are available at the prestigious department store,” said Sonia Gabarda, PR Coordinator for SanLucar. “From our delicious berries from Germany, Spain or Tunisia; to our bananas cultivated in Ecuador, our apples from Germany, our citrus from Spain or South Africa, Pineapples from Costa Rica, our grapes from Italy, Chile or South Arica, and much more.”

“At the SanLucar Juice Bar, customers can refuel with delicious juices, smoothies and freshly sliced fruit – either to enjoy them on the spot or to take away.

Additionally, SanLucar offers its customers a special service: if wished, a SanLucar fruit expert accompanies them during their purchase and gives them useful tips and advice, for example on storing and preparing the products.

In order to reliably supply KaDeWe with all the desired fruit, SanLucar cooperates with the Berlin wholesaler Keuthmann GmbH.”

The timing and location of this new retail experience are favorable for those who will be attending the February 6 to 8 Fruit Logistica show in Berlin and wish to have a look; KaDeWe is only about a 30 minute ride via the U2 metro line from Fruit Logistica’s location at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
