PMA Fresh Connections: Connecting You with China

The PMA Fresh Connections: China conference is your gateway to this market. The annual industry-leading event will be held in Shanghai at the Westin Bund Center hotel on the 17th of March. This is the fourth FC China conference held in Shanghai, following successful events over the past three years.

Session: State of the Global Fresh Produce Industry 

This session will feature two of the leading authorities in the global fresh produce industry: Cathy Burns, President, Produce Marketing Association (U.S.) and Bryan Silbermann, CEO, Produce Marketing Association (U.S.)

They will take a look at the global market trends that are driving consumer, retail, importing and exporting decisions. They will then connect these global trends to Chinese consumers and the fresh produce chain serving them.

Session: The Chinese Market: What You Need to Know to be Successful

Mabel Zhuang, China Market Development Representative, Produce Marketing Association (China) will give an overview speech on China's fresh produce market with a special focus on imported fruits, and share with you valuable insights into the trends shaping the future of the industry and the structural changes driving the fresh produce trade in China.

Session: Think Like a Global CEO

This brainstorming session will be moderated by Bryan Silbermann, CEO, Produce Marketing Association. The panelists will be: Liu Mau Wah, Co-Chairman, Joyvio-Golden Wing Mau (China), Steve Barnard, CEO, Mission Produce (U.S.), Shawn Harris, CEO, Nature's Pride (Netherlands), Michael Simonetta, CEO, Perfection Fresh Australia (Australia) and Tim York, CEO, Markon (U.S.) They will share with you their experiences staying competitive in the global market, and some of their proven methods for winning therein.

This session will explore the qualities of successful global leaders and uncover what characteristics enable them to adapt rapidly to an ever-changing environment.
