After gaining the market access to China, Argentine cherries have been a hot topic among Chinese traders. To explore the Argentine cherry industry, Produce Report talked with two key industry insiders at Fruit Logistica 2019 held in Berlin.

The 2019 edition of the World of Fresh Ideas, held on February 5, kicked off with a summary of the Fruit Logistica Trend Report 2019, Surprises in Store, which was authored by global management consulting firm Oliver Wyman, “based on an in-depth consumer survey – examining the responses of 6,850 customers in 14 different markets across Europe and North America.”

Chinese phytosanitary officials are expected to visit Kenya this April in order to conduct training and inspections of avocado packing facilities.The visit is likely to pave the way for Kenyan avocados to be added later this year to China’s list of permissible imported fruits.
