Rhenus Establishes Dedicated Team for China’s Thriving Fresh Market

November 13, 2023

German logistics giant Rhenus recently revealed its establishment of a specialized team for perishable products in Greater China. The announcement was made at the 26th China International Fisheries Expo in Qingdao. This strategic move aims to capitalize on the region’s strong demand for fresh goods. The newly formed team will operate under the Rhenus Fresh perishables division and focus on facilitating the transportation of goods between Greater China, Europe and Latin America, with a particular emphasis on Chile.

Established in 2002 in Hong Kong, Rhenus Greater China is dedicated to delivering efficient and timely temperature-controlled transportation services for fresh and frozen products. Over the years, the company has expanded its reach to encompass the majority of China with branch offices in 23 Chinese cities. Additionally, Rhenus operates warehouses in key locations such as Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen. The company is reportedly planning to further expand its China presence in the upcoming years.

Rhenus Fresh specializes in handling a diverse range of products, including flowers, fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood and fish. Operating on a global scale, this division is dedicated to the transportation of fresh products, ensuring quality and timeliness at every step of the supply chain. Rhenus achieves this through specialized cold and frozen storage facilities, along with a comprehensive suite of temperature control solutions.
